Dr. Brillian S. K. is Chief People Officer & Head of People and Processes at TimesPro – a Times of India group initiative. An eminent personality in the field of Human Resources & Academics, he is a Prolific Speaker, Academic Advisor, Strategist, and Coach. Brillian brings about 25 years of work experience across diverse domains like Education, IT, and Logistics, working with Blue Chip Organisations like Aptech, BNP Paribas Bank, CRISIL, and SP Jain School of Global Management. An electronic engineer from Mumbai University, Brillian showed dexterity and courage by moving from Information Technology to the Human Resources domain at the peak of his IT career, totally unheard of in those times. His stint with TimesPro has been nothing short of rewarding, for himself and the organization. As a part of the Executive Leadership Council, Brillian has contributed immensely to TimesPro’s growth by transforming the workforce culture into a performance-driven organization. He works closely with the CEO and the Business and Functional Heads at TimesPro to ensure the Performance Culture is ingrained across the Organisation. A huge proponent of “Learner Centricity” as a key driver in the long-term and sustainable business growth, he has made humungous efforts towards building people capability at TimesPro. Not the one to shy away from treading unchartered paths or taking up new challenges, he is mentoring the Student Engagement and Quality functions for the past few years. Work Achievements at TimesPro • As a part of the Executive Leadership Team, Brillian has contributed to the Strategy and Execution of major projects at TimesPro. • During the current FY, he is responsible to manage the bottom line through cost control measures in the areas of Manpower, Operations, and spending. • He is an advisor and confidante to the CEO on People and Process matters. • Over the past five years, Brillian has been involved with Business processes and initiatives toward the growth of all Business Units. • He has guided the recruitment, retention, and development of a diverse team into a performing machine. • He works closely with all Business and Functional Heads at TimesPro to ensure the Performance Culture is imbibed across the Organisation. • He has been instrumental in creating a strong Centre of Excellence for Recruitment – through which he brought down recruitment spending to 60% in two years. • As a part of our constant focus on performance and cost-effectiveness, Brillian has worked on managing headcount and costs within Budgets consistently for the last five years. • He is leading succession planning and development of a leadership pipeline to help TimesPro navigate the growth phase from FY 22 – FY 26. Brillian’s repertoire includes a successful association with Toastmaster’s International, an organization that aims to help people become better public speakers and leaders. As a volunteer leader, he was appointed as the Region Advisor covering 13 countries in South Asia. Brillian loves to volunteer for multiple social causes and has been conferred with the Rex Karamveer Award (instituted by the United Nations and REX) for his volunteering services.
